Plasticizer (QTM Pz)
The Cerulean QTM Pz uses a low powered microwave measurement technology to enable measurement of the plasticizer content in freshly made mono-acetate filters. The unique Cerulean system not only provides information on mean levels of plasticizer but also information on the uniformity of the application as well as tip to tip analysis.
In order to enable the plasticizer level to be calculated the QTM Pz must be used in conjunction with other QTM modules measuring weight, size and pressure drop.

The complete QTM Pz measurement stack gives quality information on weight, plasticizer content and distribution, PD and circumference (or diameter) within seconds with a high degree of accuracy. The accompanying data system stores results in a flexible database and can display results numerically or graphically The QTM Pz can display plasticizer levels in mg or % rod weight on each rod and batch.
The Cerulean QTM Pz comes with bespoke software enabling all quality data to be simply exported to factory systems.
No sample preparation is necessary and the non destructive measurement technique does not dry out the rods.
