The QMU system takes the control of filter rod production to a higher level. Developed in association with a leading making machine supplier, the QMU system works together with the rod maker to ensure your product quality meets your expectations. Designed to meet the changing needs of the industry, the QMU system provides higher process visibility to match ever increasing production speeds.
The QMU system works by sampling filter rods automatically from the maker. Measurements of the filter rod weight, circumference and pressure drop are taken in the instrument stack.
Any changes in the production quality are fed back to the rod making machine. Adjustments are then made automatically to the rod circumference and pressure drop, thereby ensuring your production meets the closest possible tolerances.
Minimum calibration requirements allow the modules to operate for long periods without attention. In addition, the pressure drop unit contains a built-in reference standard. This automatically adjusts the instrument calibration to keep track of changes in the ambient temperature and humidity.
